CP9580L, I am a retired auto technician and was looking for a scantool to diagnose check engine light malfunctions on my personal vehicles. This Actron Autoscanner is made by SPX, a reputable name in automotive testing equipment, and has most all the features of a professional scanner costing much more. I have used it twice so far and am impressed with its quality and function. It works on vehicles 1996 and newer. It is easy to use, just plug it in, select your vehicle and read the data. You will need to download the free detailed manual from Actron's website as the one that comes with it is very basic. You will also need to download the free software suite if you plan to update the scanner software or store scanned data on your PC. Also, this scanner did not come with the required USB cable to connect with your PC, so you will need to buy one. Amazon sold this on sale for $139.00 with free shipping, a great tool at a great value.
